that's fun

it's 3 o'clock in the fucking morning. not the song lyrics. seriously. i can't sleep because i just lay there waiting and nothing's happening. i know i'm tired. i haven't stopped shaking since i got the news. at work, my hands were pretty much useless. it took me close to ten minutes to ring up a customer and gift-wrap their stuff because my hands were shaking so fucking much.
why?
this month seems to have decided to shit on me. and not just me. everyone. and i hate how self-absorbed i'm getting about this. but seriously.
first, there's don. i can't hear christmas carols without getting upset and i work in a store that plays nothing but that for hours on end. for those of you who knew him (probably wasn't many besides the fam), a close family friend and father of the kids i consider my own younger siblings died this morning and it's really hard to think about. they host a christmas party every year and he used to read the christmas story out of the bible as a really old tradition before we'd go christmas caroling. hence, i can't think about any of that stuff without breaking down.
then, there's also the looming threat of colt. he's really leaving. and that is also hard as fuck to deal with. i've pushed that as far away as can be over the past quarter, but now we have less than three weeks to the end of the quarter and then i'm losing my best friend besides noah.
so i'm kind of losing it. everybody's looking forward to christmas break, but i can't really. sure i can't wait to see my family, but i'm losing my best friend and there's nothing i can really do about it.
idk. i just want to sleep. i want this day to be over.

I stepped on my computer and now the screen has a small(ish) crack in it.
Fuck.

That idea fizzled out fast... But, I still want to use a bit of that refund on something fun. I'll probably go shopping a bit for some new shirts (90% of my tshirts have holes in them because i've had them for years) and maybe a pair of pants or two. i just need a change. i'm always craving change.

I just caught wind of a lot of money that may be headed my way and I've been thinking about it all day, but I might try to sell my Pentax K200D and use the money headed my way to buy a nicer camera...
My pentax was a nice purchase for how much money I had earlier, but it's just not my favorite DSLR I've ever used and honestly, I start a photography class in about 2 weeks and I really want something that will work the way I want it to. i haven't brought this up with my parents yet and I know it will definitely take some convincing, but maybe, just maybe I can swing it... i don't even know what kind of camera I want yet, but I know I want to sell my K200D.

anybody want to help me make this decision?
